Some Brigade Members

April 2001

The suburb of Cherrybrook is located in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney. The Cherrybrook Rural Fire Service is a wholly volunteer brigade, which is part of the Hornsby Shire Rural Fire Service organization.
The aim of the brigade is to protect lives and property from fires and other emergencies, as well a promoting fire safety and as a general support to the local community.
We have an active membership of well equipped and trained volunteer firefighters who specialize in providing protection from bush and grass fires, as well as providing a valuable support role to our local full time N.S.W. Fire Brigades stations at Beecroft and Castle Hill at property fires, motor vehicle accidents and hazardous materials incidents.
The Rural Fire Service brigades within the State of New South Wales come under the umbrella of the N.S.W. Rural Fire Service, who provide financial, operational and technical support to the firefighting organization.
